Ayushman Bharat Yojana, also known as Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY), is a flagship healthcare scheme launched by the Government of India in September 2018. The primary aim of this initiative is to provide financial protection and affordable healthcare to the economically vulnerable sections of society.Key features of Ayushman Bharat Yojana include: Coverage: PM-JAY provides health insurance coverage of up to ₹5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization.It targets over 10 crore economically disadvantaged families, approximately 50 crore beneficiaries.
